General Questions
It’s my first time coming to Sweat Co., what do I do when I get there?
Welcome! Talk with our friendly front desk staff and they’ll guide you in the right direction. Arrive early to allow yourself time to purchase your drop-in session or class package, or time to get changed and stash your stuff in our changerooms or cubies before your class.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We Accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and personal cheque. Please note that there is a $20.00 charge on all returned cheques.
How do you keep track of my account?
All participants must sign in at the front desk before proceeding into any class or the Training Room in order to show you’ve attended the class/session.
Do your packages expire?
Personal Training and Pilates packages do not expire, but all class cards have expiry dates which are non-extendable.
Do you have a dress code?
Appropriate workout attire is required. Shirts, workout shoes and all other exercise wear must be worn at all times, unless otherwise specified. No street shoes or black-soled boots are allowed. Please keep your workout gear clean, and refrain from using heavy perfumes before and after class.
Where can I put my stuff?
Please put all belongings in the cubbies provided or in the changerooms. We do not have lockable units, so valuables may be left at the front desk if preferred.
What if I’m running late for class?
For your protection, there will no admittance into the classes once the warmup is completed. No exceptions please.
Can I leave my class early?
We recommend you stay for the complete class, including cool down, as classes are structured for your safety. If you must leave class early, please position yourself close to the door and exit quickly and quietly.
Can I use additional weights in a class?
Classes are not designed for the use of ankle and hand weights, unless specified on the schedule or by the instructor. For the safety of yourself and others in the studio, use weights in designated classes only.
What about food and drinks in the studio?
Please do not consume any food or beverages other than water in the studios or the Training Room. And for your safety, no gum chewing in any classes or in the Training Room.
Training Room
Can anyone use the Training Room?
You must pay to drop-in to the Training Room, or purchase a package specifically for that area. However, you are entitled to the benefit of unlimited access to the Training Room if you have had a personal training session within the last seven consecutive days.
Do I need to sign up to us the cardio machinery downstairs?
Cardiovascular equipment is used on a first- come, first-serve basis. As a courtesy to others, please do not stay on a single piece of cardiovascular equipment for more than 20 minutes.
What about cleanup in the Training Room?
Please return all free weights to their racks, and wipe down all equipment after use with paper towel and spray, located near the equipment.
Spinning®
This class fills up quickly! How do I secure my spot in class?
You can reserve your spot in class ahead of time to secure your spot. Spinning® bikes may be reserved NO MORE than 24 hours before class is scheduled to begin. Reservations must be made with the front desk staff, either by phone or in person. Reservations may be secured with your class card, or with a Visa, Amex or MasterCard number if you are dropping in.
Do I need to bring my own heart-rate monitor and/or headphones?
No, we happily provide freshly cleaned headphones and heart-rate monitors for each class. For the loan of a heart-rate monitor and/or headphones, appropriate collateral must be left at the front desk. (i.e., keys).
I can’t make it to my class, what happens?
Because this class is so busy, once a spot is booked any cancellation or “NO SHOW” will be charged the full amount of the class.
What time should I be there before my class?
Please sign in at the front desk no later than 5 minutes after posted class time. If you have not signed in by this time, your reservation will become invalid to allow those on the waiting list time to set up.
Personal Training
Do you provide a towel and water for my session?
Yes! A towel is also provided for each session with a trainer, and purified water will be provided at no cost when you bring own water bottle. We also sell bottled water at the front desk in case you forgot.
Can I come in early to warm up before my session with my trainer?
Yes! Simply sign in at the front desk and head downstairs.
Do I need to pay to access the Training Room without my trainer?
Not neccessarily. You have unlimited access to the Training Room for the 7 days following your session with your trainer. Any additional time after this period will need to be purchased.
I can’t make my session with my trainer, what do I do?
Please call the front desk within 24 hours of your session to avoid being charged the “Late Cancellation” fee. If it is after studio hours, please be sure to contact your trainer directly by phone or email.
But what if I’m training with a partner and need to cancel my session?
If one partner cancels with less than 24 hours notice, the trainer will keep the session with the remaining client, and the client who cancelled will be charged. If one partner cancels with the appropriate notice, the other partner has the option of keeping the time as a one-on-one session, and paying for the session as a single.
What if I can’t give 24 hours notice?
“Late Cancellations” (anyone who cancels with less than 24 hours notice) or “No Shows” will be charged the full session fee. For Partner Training, please see above.
